Ken Costello of Guilford, Connecticut, USA scored a hole-in-one on 07/10/08. The ace occurred on Hole 11, a par 3, 190yd hole at Lyman Orchards, Gary Player Course located in Middlefield, Connecticut, USA.

Ken scored the hole-in-one with a 5 Wood and had this to say about it:

"I was playing in the Thursday Night TELSO Golf league. The 11th hole is 190 yds, with an elevated Tee, and the pin 10 yds from the front, so it was playing around 160. Our Foursome all grabbed 6 irons. The other 3 went first all landing 10 - 20 yds short of the green, because of a headwind holding the balls. I went back to my cart & grabbed my 5 wood, and took a 3/4 backswing. The ball hit 10 yds short of the green and was running toward the flag. Because of the sun in our eyes, we did not see it actually drop, but we figured I was close. When we got down to the green, we saw only the 3 balls lying short, so I figured mine rolled off the edge. I never even thought to look in the cup. While I was looking around the fringe where I thought it might be, one of the other 3 looked in the cup & started yelling at me to come get my ball. "
